Each year for the Aussie Rules Grand Final, PAFL, in partnership with ANZCHAM, have a massive function in which we watch the Grand Final live. As part of the festivities, we bring up past AFL/VFL legends as special guests for the weekend. Since 2004, to further enhance the Aussie Rules spirit of the occasion, PAFL have held a night game underlights on the eve of the Grand Final.

As tradition has dictated, we leave it to the legends as to what level of participation they would like in the match, which is usually either playing, coaching or umpiring. This match has gathered momentum over the years and has become one of PAFL’s showcase games for the year. Not only is it enjoyable for the players and spectators, but the legends love being a part of Aussie Rules at grass roots level as they watch the Eurekas and the Dingoes battle it out in a match that is played in good humor and in great spirit.
